The President of the Liberia Business Association, James Strother says foreign nationals are mainly interested in extracting Liberia’s natural resources and leaving the citizens in abject poverty.
The LIBA Boss stressed that over the years, Liberians have not been able to adequately benefit from their own resources, compared to many foreigners who are always on a “come and go” routine to their respective countries.
Mr. Stroghter has called on Liberians to remain focused on the growth and development of their country, adding that the advancement of the country lies in the purview of its citizens.
He also urged Liberians in the diaspora to get involved with the development process by investing in the private sector, adding that, government cannot incorporate every citizen.
He spoke when authorities of Jama Purified Mineral Water Company officially launched the water company and its products on the Liberian market system in the VOA Kpekor Community in Montserrado recently.
