Ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) lawmaker in person of Representative Dixon W. Seboe on Thursday gave L$500,000 to the Redemption Hospital in New Kru Town, Monrovia.
The Montserrado County Electoral District 16 lawmaker said the cash donation was his initial contribution towards the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Although the lawmaker didn’t give the source of his donation, but one will want to believe that it came from a portion of his USD $30,000 each lawmaker was given in the national budget for “Legislative Engagement and Assessment” that is sparking public disagreement.
Recently, Senator Abraham Darius Dillon of Montserrado County presented USD $7,500.00 to the Montserrado County health team, but such money was rejected and turned over to the Senator recently as health practitioners noted that the source of the money was questionable.
