Dr. Fallah Appeals for More Vaccine in Liberia; Encourages Everyone to Get Vaccinated

Former Director General of the National Public Health Institute of Liberia Dr. Mosoka Fallah is appealing to partners and the World Health Organization to increase the number of vaccines donated to Liberia. He is at the same time encouraging everyone within the boarders of Liberia to make it their responsibility to get vaccinated terming the vaccine as good and effective in risk reduction health wise.

To stop further spread of Covid-19 in the Country Dr. Fallah is recommending that the health authority put into place a method for the effective tracing of contacts of confirmed cases.

Dr. Mosoka Fallah said there is a need to raise awareness of voluntary screening and to strengthen the capacity of health care institutions to report individuals with symptoms of COVID-19.
He called on health authorities to employ strategies and create several platforms to improve testing time.

“There should also be Covid-19 testing centers at various major points of entry, especially in the rural areas to avoid a widespread outbreak of the virus,” Dr. Fallah added.

Appearing on ELBC Radio and OK FM in Liberia from the US by the wave of phone on Thur, July 1, 2021, Dr. Mosoka Fallah lauded Health Authorities for enforcing the health protocols, including the wearing of face and nose masks, washing of hands and physical distancing. He asked all the actors in the country to make sure that everyone fully complies with the measures put in place.
