
Scores of Liberian women who travelled to Oman in anticipation of getting job are calling on the national government to help them return to the country.
The women, who are at the moment unanimous,, said they were duked into believing that they would be given decent and well-payed jobs upon their arrival in Oman.
But speaking on the OK morning Rush Wednesday Feb 16, 2022 , the women sounding disappointed, narrated that they are being treated as slaves; something they said had never happened during their stay in Liberia.
Another lady explained that she is currently sick as a result of acute treatment and punishment they have endured. She further narrated that since her arrival into Oman, she has been sleeping in the kitchen of her so-called Boss lady.
One of the women indicated that her passport and other important documents were all taken from her, something which makes it difficult to travel from the country.
They named Patrick Cooper as one of the agents who facilitated their going to the Arab nation of Oman. When asked as to the current location of Patrick Cooper’s office, they named the Neezoe Community but was fast to registered that he can’t no longer e found in said community.
They are currently calling on the Liberian government to help urgently in bringing them back to their country of birth( Liberia).
It can be recalled that during their last cabinet retreat, President Weah instructed the ministries of Justice and Labour to urgently workout modalities in bringing back home stranded liberians from around the world.
Since the pronouncement, not much effort has been seen from the two ministries tasked with the responsibility to help bring back those struggling women.
