The National Overseer of the Abosso Apostolic Faith Church of Jesus Christ Incorporated, Reverend Samuel Fornatee Nugba is counting on the support from the national government to complete the additional new storey building project of his Bishop L. J. Barnes Mission School on the Bushrod Island.
Speaking recently to Dakpannah 24, Reverend Nugba stressed that the school has been in existence for over 30 years, within the Borough of Krutown, rendering many services through the church’s little resources to several residents and children who cannot afford to go to school.
The Liberian clergyman, who also serves as Board Chair for the Bishop L. J. Barnes Mission School, further disclosed that the church has spent over half a million Liberian Dollars on students who are on the church’s scholarship scheme, ranging from kindergarten to senior high division; something that according to him, has been a normal routine during every academic year.
Reverend Nugba also called on Montserrado County Electoral District #16 Representative, Dixon W. Seboe to visit the school campus to monitor the level of work the administration is doing ahead of the new academic school year, noting that the school administration will highly appreciate his little contributions in whatever way in the interest of Liberian citizens.
According to him, the Abosso Apostolic Faith Church of Jesus Christ Incorporated is currently helping many Liberian kids in school who are living in the community and attending the church.
“I have had many opportunities to have traveled to the United States of America, interacted with people outside of Liberia. I even had the opportunity to stay in the US but I said no, I have to come back home because many Liberians need my service. The church is giving back to the community, nothing we are gaining in return because we chose to serve humanity so let our honorable lawmaker, Dixon Seboe and national government help us complete our project so the students can have a free space to learn,” Reverend Nugba asserted.
Meanwhile, Reverend Samuel Fornatee Nugba has disclosed that the Abosso Apostolic Faith Church of Jesus Christ will be celebrating its 81st anniversary on September 26, 2021 at the church main edifice in the Borough.
According to him, the program on Sunday will feature many great Preachers of the Gospel, including the honoring of some dedicated and committed members within the ministry.
Reverend Nugba also averred that the selection of honorees was done through a special committee; something that according to him, will surprise many due to the names that will be highlighted.
