In Malawi’s Chikwawa area, a 27-year-old man named Mkwate Chimbizi was arrested by police for the gruesome murder of his 23-year-old wife, Luwiza Leonard.
The suspect was taken into custody on Thursday, June 8, for the alleged decapitation of his wife and dismemberment of her body parts, including her breasts and genitals, due to his suspicion of her infidelity.
According to FaceofMalawi, the victim’s remains were found in a pit toilet after being cut into pieces.
The South East Police Region spokesperson, Edward Kabango, confirmed the incident, which occurred on June 3.
The suspect later led officers to a burial site where the victim’s head was discovered in a decomposed state.
