Civil Law Court ‘A’ Issues writ of summons for ANC Political Leader, Alexander Cummings and others.

Judge Peabody’s action to summon Cummings, Bility and executives of LP , was triggered based on a complaint filed by three court officers of the Monrovia City Court for action of damages for wrong.

Patience Kollie  of the Liberia National Police, Victoria Davis of the Monrovia City police  and Jusu Armah of the Liberia National Police, were allegedly brutalized by a man believed to be a  security guard assigned to the Liberty Party Chairman Musa Bility during a trial currently before the city court Judge Jomah Jallah.

The complainants through their lawyer, Cllr. Samuel Pearson in an eleven count petition to the civil law court judge, prayed the court to hold the defendants liable under the torts doctrine of respondent and the defendants be ordered to pay the amount of US$1.5 million in general and purity damages.

The officers sustained injuries when both supporters of ANC and ALP attempted forcing their way into the court room when hearing into the criminal trial of Mr. Cummings was ongoing at the Monrovia City Court.
