Cllr. Gould Wants Senate Secretary Relieved of his Post, Pending Criminal Lawsuit Outcome

The Special Assistant to the Solicitor General of Liberia, Cllr. Lafayette Gould, wants the Secretary of the Liberian Senate relieved of his post, pending the outcome of a criminal lawsuit against him.

Nanborlor Singbeh and 13 other defendants were indicted by the state on charges of economic sabotage, theft of property, forgery, and criminal conspiracy.

In an interview with Prime FM Tuesday, Cllr. Gould said it will be prudent for Singbeh to be relieved from his current position and be made to clear his name in court.

He said the refusal of the Senate Secretary to step aside clearly shows that he is trying to evade justice.

At the same time, Cllr. Gould has called on Senators on Capitol Hill to relieve Sengbeh off his post until the investigation is concluded.
