Contractors Unpaid Six Months after Liberia Census; LISGIS Promises Resolution Next Week

Dozens of contractors who provided services for the controversial housing and population census in Liberia have yet to receive payment from the Liberia Institute of Statistics and Geo-Information Services.

Despite the census taking place almost six months ago, the management of LISGIS has reportedly failed to settle the arrears owed to these contractors.

Acting Director General Lawrence George has acknowledged that some contractors are still owed money and has stated that management is actively working to resolve the issue and settle these outstanding payments by next week.
