Director of Security Cautions the Staffer Association of the Liberian Senate Against Frequent Political Activities within the Capitol Building

The Staffer Association of the Liberian Senate has been cautioned against engaging in frequent political activities within the Capitol Building by the Director of Security, Dyonisious Wisseh.

This comes after members of the association petitioned former Vice President Joseph Boakai for the Liberian presidency in 2023 and escorted Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence.

In a statement released by the Senate on Wednesday, Mr. Wisseh advised against such practices to prevent confusion and disorder.

He noted that while the Capitol Building is a political institution, the association’s use of invectives and provocations could lead to altercations and the breakdown of law and order.
