
In a triumphant victory, Jimmy Jolokon High School from Montserrado County claimed the title of Liberia National Quizzing Supper Cup champions for 2023. The team’s impressive performance earned them a decisive win over their opponents, St. Claver High of Grand Bassa, with a final score of 85 points to 60.
The competition was organized by the Liberia Institute for Knowledge and Excellence to promote academic excellence among students.
Sponsored by Ecobank-Liberia, the tournament featured 12 high schools from Montserrado, Grand Bassa, and Sinoe Counties.
At the end of the event, Atty. Phil Tarpeh Dixon, the head of the Liberia National Quizzing Super Cup, commended the participating schools for their excellent display of morals and called on the government and NGOs to support the initiative.
Sabarie Williams, the captain of St. Clevar Catholic High School in Grand Bassa County praised the organizers of the competition for their fairness.
Meanwhile, Varney Nyei, the captain of Jimmy Jolokon High School expressed gratitude to the organizers and the school administration for their unwavering support, which propelled them to victory.
