The LNP charge sheet filed Monday, April 10, 2023, named those allegedly committing the acts as Bobby Watkins, Blessing Toe, Alfred George, John Williams, Abraham Kollie, Augustine Toe, James Toe, William Tobor along with Elijah Toe.
The document said they were arrested over the weekend at the N.V. Massaquoi, and the Cathedral High School in district seven.
The police charge sheet added that the alleged perpetrators were attempting to obtain another voter card when their fingers got tested under a detector light, uncovering that they have already registered.
The LNP has further charged the defendants with the crimes of fraudulent registration and criminal attempt in violation of 10.2 paragraph C of the new Elections Law, while a criminal attempt violates Chapter 10 Section 10.1 pending court trial.
It can be recalled on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, that Monrovia City Court Stipendiary Magistrate, Ben Barco, sent the first page of six men to the Monrovia Central Prison for the alleged crimes of fraudulent voter card registration.
Meanwhile, the National Elections Commission on March 20, 2023, commenced the exercise of voter registration in Montserrado, Grand Cape Mount, Gbarpolu, Bomi, Margibi, and Grand Bassa counties.
