LNP, LTMI To Commence Road Traffic Management Soon .

Monrovia: The Liberia National Police and the Liberia Traffic Management Incorporated will on Monday, January 31, 2022 officially launch operations for its new road traffic management.  

Recently,  the Policy Management Board of the Liberia National Police, comprising the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, Liberia Institute of Public Administration, the Civil Service Agency and the Liberia National Police, convened in finalizing the Memorandum of Understanding and the Standard Operation Procedures between the two collaborating entities.  

The police in a press release disclosed that , the leadership of the Liberia National Police and the Liberia Traffic Management Incorporated will hold a validation program of the Memorandum of Understanding and the Standard Operating Procedures of the current Liberia Traffic Management program on Friday January 28, 2022.

Also on Saturday, January 29, 2022, a two day training will commence which will bring  together two hundred officers from the Public Safety Division of the Liberia National Police. 

According to the release, the training is aimed at refreshing officers on the Concessional arrangement between the Government of Liberia and the Liberia Traffic Management Incorporated, Refresher of officers on the Vehicle and Traffic Laws of Liberia, Customer Service, and Conflict Management and Resolution.  

The LNP notes that this Public Private Partnership between the LNP and the Liberia Traffic Management is authorized by the Government of Liberia through the National Legislature in its 1st Session of the 54th Sitting on September 11, 2018.  

In the coming days, the Public Affairs Division of the Liberia National Police will robustly engage the Press to provide detailed information   about this new road traffic partnership for a better understanding of the public, the statement concluded.
