According to the group Executive Director Daniel Doe, the Monrovia City Mayor has accepted to make available the total sum ofUS$3000, with $1000 released as an initial payment.

He said the Monrovia City Mayor’s gesture is being named and styled as the ‘Koijee’s Slum Children Initiative’ an, which he said is managed by the leadership of the Liberia National Slum Dwellers Community Network; Slum Children Foundation.

Daniel Doe noted that the Initiative, which is a continue process not focusing on the Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson Koijee as a politician, but focuses on putting slum children in school on a tuition free basis.

He said this initiative by Mayor Koijee will also help reduce the many financial constraints faced by many parents; something he said many parents have been faced with the challenge of paying their children school fees, a challenge which has kept many children out of school.
