
The Ministry of Education has announced the reopening of its application for the local scholarship program for students in Universities and Colleges for academic 2021/2022 beginning September 2021.
According to information published Wednesday on the official Facebook page of the MOE, preference shall be given to education, specifically Early Childhood, Language Arts, Geography and History, including science and science related disciplines.
The release is further quoted as saying that the scholarships are awarded to students on the basis of merit, stressing that students are therefore required to maintain a GPA of 2.7 or above.

The MOE’s statement also indicated that the government of Liberia is committed to ensuring that education opportunities are equally available to students from all communities across the country.
According to the release, application forms can be picked up from and returned to the offices of the County Education Officers (CEOs) in the 16 Education Counties of the Ministry of Education.
The MOE stressed that beneficiaries will be required to maintain a 3.00 Grade Point Average in order to remain on the scholarship.
The Ministry also encouraged females,m and people who are physically challenged to apply for the scholarship, adding that the deadline for applications is October 15, 2021 at 4PM.
