Addressing a press conference in Monrovia on Thursday, NEC Chairperson, Davidetta Brown-Lassana, disclosed that the biometric equipment, software, and materials for the voter registration, have been concluded.
Madam Lassana said the Liberian government has budgeted US$10 million to start the voters’ registration.
She said of the budgeted money, eight million three hundred seventy-five thousand balanced due the Commission as per the 2022 fiscal year approved budget.
Madam Lassana urged the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning to deliver the remaining amount in fulfillment of its commitment to fund the biometric voters’ registration.
