National Elections Commission Pledges to take Stern Measures Against those who were Registered During the BRV Process, Despite Appearing to be Underage Children.

The National Elections Commission recently announced that they will take serious measures against those who registered for the Biometric Voting Registration process while underage.

Madam Davidetta-Browne Lansanah revealed that the commission will soon begin the de-duplication and adjudication process, and anyone found to have obtained a BVR card before reaching the appropriate age will face consequences.

During a broadcast on the Liberia Broadcasting System, the NEC boss clarified that although it is possible for underage citizens to obtain voter cards, the commission has not received any complaints regarding their staff facilitating this.

She emphasized that parents should take responsibility for ensuring that their children do not participate in the process, and that the commission will not tolerate such behavior.
