
Several buses belonging to the National Transit Authority (NTA) did not carry out their usual traffic operation Wednesday, due to protest by some workers of the Authority in demand of their salary arrears.
The buses were seen parked before the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the aggrieved workers of the NTA, dominantly drivers, protested in demand of their 5 month-salaries owed by the entity.
Besides demanding the payment of their salaries, the aggrieved workers also pointed out several malfeasances at the NTA and blamed the Authority’s Managing Director, Macus Macauley for the acts.
The aggrieved NTA workers, who also insisted on meeting with President Weah to express their grievances, calling on the Liberian leadrr to dismiss the Managing Director of the entity.
Director Macauley has promised to react to the allegations.
