
President George Weah has congratulated the people of the European Union on the occasion commemorating the 73rd anniversary of the Schuman Declaration.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Weah on behalf of Liberia extended warmest congratulations and best wishes to the EU, and added that the European Union and Liberia’s relations have been characterized by long standing amity and genuine friendship.
In his message to Charles Michel, President of the European Council President Weah further recounted that since the inception of his administration, the European Union continues to support the Pro-Poor Agenda aimed at empowering and advancing Liberians economically.
The Liberian Leader also expressed confidence that the bonds of friendship subsisting between Europe and Liberia will be further strengthened as the two leaders explore new spheres of cooperation in the months and years ahead.
