President Weah Trip To Lofa Postponed Due To Bad Road Conditions

Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson Koigee says president George Manneh Weah’s trip to Lofa has been postponed due to the bad road conditions leading to the county.

Speaking to the media on Monday May 17, 2021, the mayor said that due to the bad road conditions the president’s trip to Lofa has been postponed to the 3rd of June 2021. He said the Ministry of Public Works has begun carrying out work on the road to enable the president to make his trip to the county in June.

The tough talking mayor also denounced the information that the people of Lofa don’t have interest in the Weah led government. He said the citizens of Lofa are peaceful people and are willing to work with any leader of the country. The Monrovia City Mayor continued by saying the people love the Weah led government and the president also loves the hospitable people of Lofa and is working to improve their lives as well as the lives of the citizenry of the country.

Meanwhile, Hon. Jefferson Koigee has called on marketeers of the Water Side market to make use of the market table recently build by the city government. He noted that those structures were built to be used by the marketeers, so they should make use of them.
