Senator Saah Joseph Donates Modern Medical Equipment to JFK Memorial Hospital

Ahead of the 2023 general elections in Liberia, Senator Saah H. Joseph of Montserrado County, who is the Chair of the Senate Committee on Executives, donated a forty foot long container of assorted medical supplies and equipment to combat the current wave of COVID-19 in Liberia on Thursday, October 7. 2022

Making the donation on behalf of the Senator , his Chief of Staff, Mr. Theophilius O. Cooper, stated that “These donations are in support of the National COVID-19 response efforts.”

Mr. Cooper stressed that the forty foot long container is purposely for the John F. Kennedy Hospital, to make sure that Liberia has better medical material for patients when they come for treatment at the facility.

He added that Senator Saah Joseph continues to engage with friends and development partners in the United States, to support the government development drive, in keeping with the Pro Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD). The Chief of Staff further mentioned that while in the US, Senator Joseph has had held fruitful discussions with members of the United States Congress, Federal Officials, Authorities of several states to include Governors, State Legislators and Mayors of Cities to formulate a partnership framework for the benefit of the people of Montsereado County and Liberia at large.

Theophilus said the Senator’s activities from his visit in America has accrued for the people of Montsereado County a number of supports, including scholarships, healthcare delivery services, agriculture, clean energy for rural Liberia and foreign direct investments.

Receiving the items on behalf of the John F. Kennedy Medical Center is Dr.Jerry Brown, Chief Administrator JFK. He lauded the senator for his continuous efforts towards the health centers in Liberia .

He disclosed that Sen. Joseph had been their partner over the years. “This is not his first time donating to JFK Hospital. He promised that they are going to do their best, so that those who are suppose to benefit from the materials adequately benefit and will help save many lives.”

He also called on all Liberians and other government officials to do likewise, because “JFK is the preferred hospital in the Country.”

Remarking at the same time, Dr. Peter S. Coleman, Chief Medical Officer for Saah Joseph and Chief Surgen of JFK, said Sen. Joseph is the chief sponsor for the Montsereado health team and is committed in helping all health facilities in Montsereado. “More containers are in the country and today, but we are beginning with JFK. Two days from now we will be at Redemption Medical Hospital and other healthcare facilities in Montsereado as well. “
