Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor has called for full empowerment of African women.
Vice President Taylor wants African leaders and the rest of the world to make this movement a priority, so as to achieve what she calls Africa’s integrated development.
Citing a UNDP report, the Vice President stated that this empowerment is primarily self-awareness of potential capabilities.
Mrs. Taylor spoke on Thursday, October 15, 2021 at the Third National Women’s Forum in St. Petersburg, Russia.
She told the gathering that though women have many impediments in their way, they can still have great achievements.
