Liberian President Mourns Passing of Registrar General of the Corporative Development Agency

Dr. George Manneh Weah, the President of the Republic, has expressed his heartfelt condolences following the passing of Regina Sokan Teah, the Registrar General of the Corporative Development Agency (CDA), who passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, after battling an illness.

Madam Teah was appointed by the President in 2020 and was known for her commitment to the CDA’s mission, working tirelessly with farmers in rural communities. Her previous roles included serving as a lawmaker of the 52nd National Legislature and co-chairing the Women’s Legislative Caucus, as well as being a founding member of the Congress for Democratic Change.

President Weah spoke fondly of Madam Teah, describing her as a close friend and a strong supporter of his leadership. He acknowledged the significant impact she had made at the CDA, where she had helped to mobilize and regulate grassroots farms into socio-economic cooperative entities.

In his message of sympathy, the Liberian Leader urged the bereaved family and all those affected by Madam Teah’s passing to find solace in the Lord. He also expressed his deepest condolences and sadness at the loss of such a remarkable person who had dedicated her life to the betterment of her country and her people.
