
In the lead-up to the 2023 Legislative and Presidential Elections, CDC National Chairman Mulbah Morlu says Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor Remains an undisputed Running Mate to President Weah
The clarification by the CDC Chair comes amidst boiling speculations, proffered by members of the opposition bloc, that some top officials of the ruling CDC are planning to sideline VP Taylor in the forthcoming elections.
The CDC National Chairman made the disclosure over the weekend at the headquarters of the National Patriotic Party (NPP) during NPP’s one-day stakeholders’ convention held over the weekend in Congo Town, outside Monrovia.
Chairman Morlu added that although it is not in his purview to decide for the President, but as Chairperson of the CDC and the Collaboration, he is unaware or has not gathered any information from the presidency or ranking members of the CDC that speaks of any contrary decision.
At the same time, Liberia’s first female Vice President and Standard Bearer of the former ruling National Patriotic Party (NPP) said the NPP is working tremendously to organize the party in order to ensure that President Weah is re-elected come 2023.
