EMMANUEL Johnson, Chairman of the CDC National Revolutionary Youth League, held a press conference on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the Coalition for Democratic Change headquarters in Congo Town. During the conference, he spoke out against Nimba County Senator Prince Johnson, referring to him as a murderer.
Chairman Johnson claimed that Senator Johnson is scheming to undermine Ambassador Boakai’s candidacy for the Unity Party’s standard bearer position in favor of Jeremiah Koung. However, Senator Johnson dismissed the allegations as baseless and ridiculous.
Johnson went on to reveal that Senator Johnson had promised Senator Koung the Unity Party standard bearer position under the condition that former Vice President Joseph Nyumah Boakai would not return from the United States alive.
The Youth League Chairman noted that Senator Johnson had a history of violence, having killed the sitting president, Samuel Kanyon Doe, and other innocent Liberians during the Civil War.
Emmanuel Johnson urged caution, stating that Senator Johnson’s alleged plan should be monitored closely. He revealed that these assertions had been made in a secret meeting in Nimba, citing a reliable source.
In closing, Emmanuel Johnson emphasized that the Youth League remained committed to defending the ordinary people.
Meanwhile, Senator Prince Johnson dismissed the allegations as baseless, claiming that the Youth League was simply afraid because he had left their camp to support former Vice President Joseph Boakai’s presidential bid.
