Former Maryland County Senator John Ballout has vowed to lead hundreds of citizens from diverse political parties to the headquarters of the Unity Party and Alternative National Congress in their quest to form a Boakai-Cummings ticket.

Addressing a news conference over the weekend in Monrovia, Ambassador Ballout reiterated called for a united opposition to unseat the Weah led government in the October 10, 2023 presidential and legislative elections.

He stressed the group will move to the headquarters of the UP of Ambassador Joseph Boakai and ANC of Alexander Cummings on Thursday this week to present a petition calling on them to reunite as a single political ticket.

He promised to financially and morally support the United Opposition Taskforce headed by Barti Nichols Barti in achieving this goal, adding the citizens will demand Boakai to head the ticket while Cummings accepts the vice standard bearer position.

According to him, Liberia is in a dying position and as such there is a need for the opposition to reunite to provide hope for the citizens of the country.
