The National Patriotic Party has expressed its strong condemnation and disapproval of Senator James Biney’s recent statement that the government has accomplished nothing to be proud of.
The Maryland County Senator made this statement during a program that was allegedly endorsed by Capitol Building employees on May 16th, 2023.
The NPP has labeled Senator Biney’s claim as a blatant lie and has stated that the roads and electricity in the southeast and other parts of the country were indeed projects that were executed by the Weah Government.
The party has issued a strongly-worded press release on May 17th, 2023, in which it has described Senator Biney’s statement as a total misrepresentation of the facts. The release goes on to state that the senator’s comments are a well-intended calculation to discredit the tremendous gains made by the Weah-Taylor regime.
The NPP has also pointed out that Senator Biney’s statement is not without motive. It is a deliberate attempt to make the coalition unpopular and to give an advantage to the opposition, a group that he is currently supporting.
In addition, the NPP has revealed that Senator Biney was removed from his post as National Chair due to his violation of the party’s constitution. Specifically, he breached Article 8 sections 8.7 (e) and (g) by failing to uphold publicly party policy and bringing the party into public ridicule.
