Reported Plans For Liberty Party To Support Cummings Head CPP Ticket Uncovered

As the race to who heads the Collaborating Political Parties(CPP) ticket continues ahead of 2023 presidential and Legislative elections, a leaked audio in the possession of Dakpannah 24 News & Television uncovered reported plans by the Liberty Party to dump Unity Party Standard Bearer, Joseph N. Boakai, during the upcoming CPP Convention slated for December of this year.

The audio, which is believed to be the voice of Liberty Party Vice Chair for Operations, Elder Jallah, explained the alleged decision of the party’s executives to its Grand Gedeh County Chapter Chairman to support Alternative National Congress (ANC) political leader, Alexander B. Cummings over former VP Boakai in pending CPP Convention.

Jallah says Cummings has already agreed to carry their Political Leader, Senator Nyonblee Kangar-Lawrence or Senator Abraham Darius Dillon as running mate in the 2023 Presidential and Legislative Elections.

At the same time, the LP senior official is heard telling the Grand Gedeh chairman that the party has already purchased two motorbikes each for both the county chairman and the Secretary General and that funds are available for gasoline.

The Liberty Party Vice Chair for Operations told the chairman of the party’s Grand Gedeh chapter in that discussion that if Cummings is considered and wins the 2023 election, he will provide job opportunities for partisans of the Liberty Party on a 50-50 level.

Meanwhile, Mr. Elder Jallah is heard in the same audio, saying, executives of Liberty Party do not trust folks from the Unity Party and their Standard Bearer, Boakai.

He alleged that former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has issues with former Vice President Boakai and she could fight him if they take state power in 2023.
