Montserrado County Senator, Abraham Darius Dillion, has come under immense public criticism for lying about his recent business class ticket to fly from Accra, Ghana to the United States.
It can be recalled that in a recent Facebook post the Senator vehemently denied flying business class to the United States for a fundraising visit to garner support for his projects and activities in his constituency.
The Senator’s Facebook post was obviously in reaction to a Frontpage Africa report that he flew business class on Delta Airlines to the US.
However, a few days after debunking the newspaper’s report, Frontpage Africa conducted further research, which proved that the Montserrado County Senator actually flew business class, in contrast to his claim of flying economy class.
Nevertheless, appearing on the Spoon Talk Tuesday evening upon his return to Monrovia, Senator Dillon flip-flopped on his previous defense, admitting to Frontpage Africa’s report that he flew business class from Accra, Ghana to the United States.
In addition, one of those who has sharply criticized Senator Dillon’s action following his admittance is Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson Koijee. Mayor Koijee, reacting to Senator Dillon’s admittance and apology Wednesday, described the Montserrado County lawmaker’s action as the highest form of ingratitude to his people.
According to the MCC Boss, Senator Dillon campaigned on the slogans of change, transparency, accountability, and integrity, but it is unfortunate to see him doing the opposite.

In a rather sarcastic manner, Mayor Koijee called on the public to refer to the Montserrdo County lawmaker as “lying Dillon”, based on his recent action.
