The Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction says it has noted with serious concern misleading publication in the April 7, 2023, edition of the New Dawn Newspaper.
On April 7, 2023, the New Dawn newspaper, under the headline, “PYJ Alleges Exclusion in VP Talks, Threatens to Return MDR to the CDC,” reported that the founder of the MDR, Senator Prince Johnson has been excluded in the discussion aimed at selecting a running mate to the standard bearer of the Unity Party, Joseph Boakai.
Addressing a press conference in Congo Town during the weekend, the party’s National Vice Chair for Public Affairs, Kelvin Matadi, refuted the information permeating the media.
He said it beclouded with the political spheres about its lead vision bearer and Chair of the Governing Council, Senator Prince Johnson returning to the Coalition for Democratic Change.
Mr. Matadi condemned and denied the story in its strongest term, adding it did not come from Senator Johnson as was reported by the New Dawn newspaper.
