Significant Number of Legislators Declare Support for President Weah’s Re-election Campaign

With only four months left until the Presidential and Legislative elections on October 10, a significant number of legislators have publicly declared their support for President George Weah’s re-election campaign.

The majority of these lawmakers are influential members of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change and include House Speaker Bhofal Chambers, Deputy Speaker Fonati Koffa, Senate Pro-tempore Albert Chie, Representatives Abu Kamara, Moses Acrous Gray, Dixon Seboe, and Thomas Fallah.

Representative Johnson Gwakolo announced the unanimous decision during a joint resolution reading at the CDC headquarters in Congo Town on Tuesday.

Gwakolo stated that the lawmakers’ support is based on President Weah’s significant efforts towards developing the country.

The National Chair of the CDC, Mulbah Morlu, welcomed the lawmakers onboard, while Senate Pro-tempore Albert Chie highlighted the legislature’s stability over the last five and a half years without any speaker or pro-tempore removals.
