The South Eastern Alliance for Weah’s Re-election, a group of concerned citizens gathered under the canopy, has announced their endorsement of the Boakai-Koung ticket.
The group cited President George Weah’s alleged failure to improve the Southeast region as the reason for their decision.
During a press conference held on Wednesday, Watson Chelley, the group’s chairperson, expressed disappointment in President Weah and some of his cabinet ministers from the Southeast who have failed to support the citizens on certain initiatives or contribute to the development of the region.
Chelley further stated that the group made a mistake by supporting the Weah-Taylor ticket in the 2017 elections.
He added that the Southeast was more developed before President Weah took office.
