A concerned group, identifying themselves as “Staunch Members of the Liberty Party,” have raised objections to a recent political rally held in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.
In a recent statement, Senator Karnga-Lawrence claimed that her faction of the Party has endorsed Mr. Joseph Boakai’s presidential bid, causing the group to speak out against such action.
The Chairman of the group, Surprise Weah, confirmed that their members have distanced themselves from this endorsement.
The group expressed their disappointment, stating that Senator Karnga-Lawrence’s actions are only meant to create more confusion within the Liberty Party and exacerbate the existing internal issues.
They further added that the Senator is one of the individuals tasked with resolving conflicts in line with reconciliation rather than escalating tensions.
