Supreme Court Reserves Ruling in Samukai vs GOL Case

After several hours of legal arguments before the full bench of the Supreme Court of Liberia in the ongoing case involving former Defense Minister Brownie Samukai vs the Republic of Liberia at the Temple of Justice, the Supreme Court has reserved ruling on the matter.

The Supreme Court of Liberia has been conducting a hearing of the legibility of Lofa County Senator-elect Brownie Samukai, which was filed by the Government of Liberia for misappropriating public funds.

Speaking Wednesday at the Temple of Justice, minutes after the final hearing, Lofa County District 1 Representative Francis Sakila Nyumalin said the case is not only about Samukai, but the citizens of Lofa County who have spoken through the ballot box on December 8, 2020.

According to Representative Nyumalin, based on legal representation, they are optimistic about winning the case.
