UNITY PARTY WARNS PARTISANS OF ATTACKING CONSTITUENTS POLITICAL PARTIES IN THE CPP

The leadership of the Unity Party has warned against the recent wave of attacks by partisans and officials of the party on the leaders and members of the constituent parties of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP).

In a release issued Wednesday, May 26, 2021, the party reiterated that under the framework agreement of the CPP, every constituent party has the right to project its political leader to head the CPP ticket for 2023. Unity Party Partisans, therefore, should not view said actions as a betrayal of trust or take offense to the actions of other parties to do so.

The party encouraged all partisans to continue to foster the spirit of unity and oneness as we work together in the interest of the Liberian people.

According to the former ruling party, going forward they will take punitive measures against those who will attack the leaders of the other constituent parties of the CPP against its advisement.
