UL Administration Suspends Student Politics

Monrovia: The University of Liberia has suspended all student political groups with immediate effect.

This suspension comes in the wake of the violence that occurred on the campuses of the University of Liberia

The president of the university Prof. Dr. Julius Julukon Sareolo Nelson, Jr. Made the release on Thursday, March 16, 2023 days following the recent violence that occurred on the University’s main campus on capitol hill. Mr. Nelson also added that the university has commissioned an immediate and impartial investigation into the matter.

“The University Administration condemns in the strongest possible terms the violent disturbances that erupted on the UL Capitol Hill campus on March 13, 2023, and by extension all such incidents” the prof. stated.

Furthermore, Dr. Julius said within the suspension of the student’s political groups, it is also prohibited for any student to wear any political symbols and emblems. He also promised that the university will fully use the student handbook.
