
Bong County electoral District#5 Representative Hon. Edward Karfiah has received petition from citizens of Yellequelleh administrative District to contest the senetorial seat in the pending 2023 legislative and presidential elections in Liberia.
The Petition program was held in Gbartala City on 25 January 2022 brought together scores of inhabitants of Yellequelleh and other parts of suakoco District in Bong including some local leaders of the County.
Reading the petition on behalf of Yellequelleh District citizens the Paramount chief Mr. Kerkulah Kponokolleh said, the Petition of Hon. Karfiah came following the numerious development undertaken by the Lawmaker in the District.
Mr. Kerkulah outline the construction of schools, Hospitals, youth centers and the empowerment of womans in the District as several intativies in the region since his election in 2017.
In their petition statement the citizens through their Paramount chief said, they as citizens of the district has resolved to elect their son as senetor in the pending 2023 general election accross the country.

Responding to the citizens Petition Hon.Edward Karfiah thank the citizens for the Petition and term it as timely and rewarding.
The two term representative of District#5 accepted the Petition statement and vowels to contest as senetor comes 2023.
Rep. Karfiah however promised the inhabitants upon his elections as senator, he will work tirelessly to ensure better development in the County.
Hon. Karfiah meanwhile urges the citizens of Yellequelleh District to be messenger in distributing his developments undertaken in the District and Bong county at large.
Meanwhile, the former lawmaker of electoral District#1 and chairman of the people’s unification party Mr. Tokpah John Mulbah said, Hon. Edward Karfiah has come to wep the developmental tears of the people of Bong County.
