Albino Society National Headquarters Construction gets Underway; GOL Makes Available Initial Funds

The Coalition for Democratic Change-led government has allocated over US$400,000 in the National Budget for the construction of the National Headquarters of the Liberia Albino Society.

The Liberia Albino Society presented a check for US$24,000 to the Scope Construction and Architecture Company for the construction of their headquarters.

According to Liberia Albino Society Executive Director Patricia Logan
said that out of the $410,000, the government has made available $40,000 as an initial amount for the commencement of the project.

Presenting the check to the Chief Executive Officer of the Scope Construction and Architecture Company Tuesday, Madam Logan lauded the Government of Liberia for prioritizing the interest of people living with Albinism in the Country.

She added that the institution will not tolerate the contractors of the construction company using substandard materials that will prolong the completion of the project.

For his part, the Chief Executive Officer of the Scope Construction and Architecture Company, Hassan Sheriff, lauded the government for awarding them such a huge contract.

Sheriff further promised to use international standard materials for the durability of the project.

He said the company will be transparent in all interactions during the construction of the project.
