Disgruntled Citizens Demand Return of 53.27 Carat Diamond Found in Liberia

Tension between the Liberia National Police and a group of disgruntled citizens from Gbarpolu County reached a boiling point as demands for the return of a recently discovered diamond intensified.

On Thursday morning, a crowd of citizens gathered outside the private residence of President George Weah, calling on the government to take action.

The diamond, weighing in at 53.27 carats, was reportedly discovered by Mohammed Kamara, a local man known for his involvement in hunting, fishing, and diamond mining in the area.

However, the citizens of Gbarpolu County claim that the government has failed to provide any clear information about the current status of the diamond, despite it being found and collected by officials some time ago.

As tensions continue to rise, it remains to be seen how the Liberian government will handle this delicate situation.
