According to Franklin Doloquee, a local journalist in the county, suspect Jefferson age 34; and the deceased were in a relationship but they got separated and he moved to Monrovia leaving the deceased in the county.
Doloquee quoted a family’s source as saying that upon the suspect’s return to the county, he paid the deceased a visit, at which time he noticed that she was in another marital affair.
He further narrated that while the deceased and her new boyfriend were on their way to find food at night, the suspect walked behind them and stabbed her and she was subsequently pronounced dead upon arrival at the Ganta Hospital.
The suspect is said to be in police custody undergoing investigation in the county.
The alleged act in Nimba County brought to the number two in not less than a week in the country with a similar incident occurring in District#17 of Montserrado County.
