
NaFAA Director General Madam Emma Metieh Glassco and her Team Continue their Tour Of The Southeast with a stop in Greenville City, Sinoe County Where she held a Meeting with Fishing Cooperative heads and FishMongers. The Purpose of her visit is To Hear from them and see how She can Solve Some of the many problems that they are currently Experiencing In the fisheries sector.
Madam Glassco said that the CDC Led government would provide additional Outboard machines to Sinoe County Cooperatives if they all decide to put aside Canoe peddling on the sea.
Madam Emma Metieh Glassco made the statement Sunday, May 7, 2023, when she met with the various fisheries Cooperative Chairmen on the Seebeh beach during a meeting.
Madam Glassco’s statement was prompted by a disclosure from the Chairman of the Seabeh Fisheries Cooperative that they are fully utilizing the previous outboard engines provided by President George Weah and he also requested more machines.
“This government of President Weah has come with real change in the lives of you the fishermen and Fishmongers”.
Speaking on behalf of the Cooperatives in Sinoe County, Chairman Young confirmed that since they were issued the machines in 2020, as fishermen of Sinoe they have been making full use of the machines to increase their catch and increase their finances.
Mr. Young further commended President Weah for the huge level of transformation they are experiencing as fishermen of Liberia.
He said that President Weah Has Taken Them From on the Ground where they used to Sleep on 12-inch Vono Mattresses to Morden Beds.
there are a total of six cooperatives established in Sinoe County. They include Seebeh, Butaw fishing cooperative, Sanquin fishing cooperative, Greenville fishing cooperative, Settra Kru fishing cooperative,e and Dugbe Fishing Cooperative.
