BUCHANAN: Grand Bassa County has agreed to hire the services of the General Auditing Commission to conduct an audit in the county on the usage of the county social development funds.
The decision was reached on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 by the delegates who attended the just ended 13th county council sitting on the fairgrounds in Buchanan.
The over 40 delegates agreed and allocated about 25- thousand United States Dollars to be given to the GAC to do the Audit.
Speaking at the end of the two days sitting, the former acting chair of the Bassa Legislative Caucus, Hon. Vincent Willie said the audit will cover the period of four to five years.
According to Representative Willie, they have already contacted the GAC and the audit is expected to be done in May of this year.
