Sup. Esther Walker

Gbarnga City, Bong county—— A son of electoral district #2 wants President George Weah to immediately dismiss Bong County Superintendent, Esther Yamah Walker for what he considers “acts incompatible to her functions.”

According to Mr. David Gbenequelleh, he also feels the Superintendent is not doing much in terms of development for the people of Bong County. Mr. Gbenequellah recalled that during the peak of covid-19 in Liberia, she openly insulted citizens of the county.

He noted that the recent defaming statement made against PHD holders by the Superintendent didn’t speak to good leadership.

Mr. Gbenequellah said if serious actions are not taken by President Weah, it will diminish his second term political bid in Bong.

Since the appointment of Superintendent Esther Yamah Walker in 2018, her leadership has been mired with controversies in Bong with many calling for her dismissal.

Madam Walker was also suspended on February 15, 2019 by President George Manneh Weah over a purported gossip that went viral where she was reportedly discussing President Weah, Finance Minister Samuel Tweh, Minister Nathaniel McGill and Jefferson Koijee over a Dakpanah title previously given to VP Jewel Howard Taylor by Chief Moses Suakollie.

Madam Walker is on record for her aggressive style of leadership.
