Liberia National Police has confirmed the discovery of a large quantity of AK 47 and GNG weapons in the city of Gblejay in Ganta Nimba County.
Addressing a news conference in Monrovia, LNP Spokesperson Moses Carter said the discovery was made through a 16-year-old minor, who was cleaning his parent’s backyard.
Carter added that the minor, upon discovering the weapons, immediately alerted the LNP Nimba County Detachment.
However, he encouraged the public not to panic because the police are doing everything in their power to ensure that the case is properly investigated.
