Man Arrested for Illegal Killing and Trading of Protected Animals in Grand Gedeh County

A man has been apprehended by authorities in Grand Gedeh County for his involvement in the illegal killing of protected animals within the area.

The suspect, identified as Foday Varney, was arrested by local police following a tip-off which led to the discovery of five bags containing Pangolin shells and other protected species in Zleh Town.

As a result of his actions, Varney has been charged with various offenses including the illegal killing of wildlife, the trading of protected animals, and economic sabotage.

Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that the suspect and his accomplices have been actively involved in this illegal activity for some time.

Currently, Varney remains in custody in the city of Zwedru and is awaiting trial.

This latest development serves as a clear warning to others who may be involved in the illegal killing and trading of protected animals in Grand Gedeh County and beyond.
