For allegedly stealing unspecified amount of cash from accident victims along the Gbarnga–Ganta highway in Bong County, the Liberia National Police has dismissed one of its officers identified as Lloyd Smart and forwarded him to court for prosecution.
According to the report, the former Palala Police Deport Commander Lloyd Smart and two other unidentified individuals in January of this year, allegedly stole finances from commuters who died instantly in a tragic motor accident on the Gbarnga- Ganta route.
Our Bong County Correspondent said investigation has established that after a prolong inquiry into the alleged immoral act involving the police officer and others, the LNP Bong Detachment through its Professional Standard Division and the Crime Services Unit recently discharged the state security personnel with a call to would-be violators to desist.
At the same time, when contacted the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Fredrick Nepay via telephone from Kokoyah District confirmed Lloyd dismissal and imprisonment.
