
Senate Pro-Tempore, Albert Chie, is calling on the Citizens of Grand Kru County to take advantage of the NEC scheduled Biometric Votes Registration to register.
The Senate Pro-Tempore stressed that the prerequisite for voting in the Elections is to be registered.
A Senate Press Release under the signature of Senate Press Director, Alfred Johnson quotes a dispatch from Grand Kru County as saying, Pro-Tempore Chie made the Statement Monday in his hometown, Grand Cess City in Grand Kru County when he obtained his voter Registration Card following his registration.
Grand Kru County is among ten Counties that were captured in phase two of the National Election Commission Biometric Votes Registration.
He then called on Citizens in the Southern Counties to rally their votes so as to ensure that the CDC obtains an overwhelming victory in the South East during the October Pools.
He acknowledged that biggers Counties including Nimba and Lofa are fighting for the Presidency, as such the Southern Counties should stand tall to ensure an overwhelming victory for their son, George Weah.
In another development, the Citizens of Grand Kru County have vented their angers over the action of Golden Patrolleum, an Oil company operating in Southern Eastern Liberia.
According to the Citizens, the Company has allegedly deprived them of their Social benefits as spelled out in the Mineral Development Agreement between the Company and the Government of Liberia.
The Citizens vented their angers during the continuation of Senate Pro-Tempore Citizens engagement as part of his visit to his County.
Meanwhile, Senate Pro-Temp Chie has called for calm amongst the Citizens and promised to sponsor a fifteen member delegation to Monrovia so as to have a dialogue with the Company’s senior officials.
