
Just days after the second phase of the Biometric Registration in the rest of the counties, several citizens of Nimba County have expressed disappointment in the process being conducted by the National Elections Commission.
Phase one of the biometric voter registration which started on March 20th to April 9, 2023, targeted Montserrado, Bomi, Margibi, Gbarpolu, Grand Cape Mount, Grand Bassa, and Margibi Counties.
Day one of the Phase Two BVR`s registration which started over the weekend saw many citizens in Nimba County voicing their frustration with the process, citing equipment malfunctions and inefficient organization.
Some of the citizens in interviews with journalists said most of the temporary staff of the National Elections Commission lacks the technical know-how on how to operate the equipment.
They called on the National Elections Commission to ensure that those they hired are fully knowledgeable of the work, to avoid delaying them in getting their voter registration cards.
