Reports of a tragic crime have come out of the Schieffelin Township in Lower Margibi County.
24-year-old Peter Jacobs, known to his friends and family as Kaka, is accused of murdering the mother of his four-month-old baby.
The victim, 17-year-old Godgift Peewee, was found dead after witnesses heard her screaming during an altercation with Kaka in their bedroom.
Her remains have been taken to the 14 Military Hospital in Lower Margibi County.
The deceased’s father, Frederick Togba, spoke to reporters at the scene of the incident and expressed his anguish at the tragedy. He also relayed the news that Kaka has been on the run since the incident occurred.
The Commissioner of the Schieffelin Township, Anthony Brown, issued a statement condemning the crime and calling on young people to use dialogue to settle their disputes instead of resorting to violence.
