Two Found Guilty of Brutal Murder of Two-year-old Boy in Bomi County

Two individuals have been found guilty of the brutal murder of a two-year-old boy in Bomi County.

The verdict was reached following a final argument in court by both the prosecution and defense lawyers on May 23, 2023, with 12 of the trial jurors voting guilty against the defendants.

Momo Gray and Siafa Gray were convicted of murder, a first-degree felony under the law, for their involvement in the killing of Saah Momo, a relative of the defendants.

The father of the boy, Siaffa Gray, pleaded not guilty while the uncle, Momo Gray, pleaded guilty to the crime in May.

The sentencing hearing is yet to take place, but the law stipulates that a person convicted of such a crime may be sentenced to death or life imprisonment.

Judge T. Ciapha Carey has ordered an investigation into the defendants’ lives prior to the incident to determine if they were law-abiding citizens.
